HIRSCH Porozell opens childcare facilities at its location in Cherkasy, Ukraine

Education, Care, and Support – three values that are more than just words at the HERZ Group. A particularly impressive example comes from our subsidiary HIRSCH Porozell in Ukraine: a dedicated childcare facility for employees’ children was recently opened on the factory premises in Cherkasy.

The initiative is part of a project by the International Labour Organization (ILO), aimed at improving women’s access to the workforce—an issue especially relevant given the current situation in the country. “Our employees are the heart of our company—and that includes their families,” emphasizes Andrey Lemekh, Managing Director of HIRSCH Porozell TOV in Ukraine. “Having a safe and caring space for children directly at the workplace allows mothers to focus on their work with peace of mind. A small step with a big impact,” he adds.

By providing onsite childcare, HIRSCH Porozell helps mothers remain active in the workforce while ensuring their children are well cared for—creating a more inclusive, family-friendly, and productive environment. Supporting women in balancing work and family simultaneously strengthens the economic stability of the region.
